Our customer is a global pioneer in diagnostic panels in human genetics. The clinical diagnostics service portfolio consists of single gene testing, diagnostic panels, focused panels up to exome diagnostics for all kind of clinical departments (e.g. neurological or ophthalmic etc.) as well as tumor diagnostics, NIPT testing and array testing. As a global provider of human genetic diagnostic services for both the clinical and research environment, the company won multiple awards and is growing rapidly. This is enabled by adapting the cutting-edge technology and elaborating this through market leading inhouse research. This is being done while upholding an open-minded start-up culture in combination with the highest quality standards. To support the continuing growth we are currently broadening the home office based sales team in selected areas to ensure a closer management of the existing customers as well as a further increase of the accounts.

The Position:

  • You will be solely responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy in the Nordics to ensure optimum sales and profit
  • You will intensify our existing relationship with key players, clinics and research facilities within the region and capitalize on that to win new clients
  • You will research market opportunities and engage in strategic business planning and execution in order to consistently achieve or exceed sales quota
  • You will manage Key Opinion Leader, identify relevant events and coordinate marketing efforts with the scientific back office
  • You will effectively negotiate with the customer based on a strong understanding of their constraints and priorities
  • You will build up a sustainable network of customers
  • The overall goal of the role is to build a great business in the respective region and product remit through consistently achieving or over-achieving targets

Your Profile:

  • You have a proven track record of implementing sales strategies and business development in the field clinical diagnostics
  • You gained sales experience within the region
  • You have a strong clinical diagnostic experience and preferably a human genetics, molecular genetics or a corresponding medical, biological or biochemical background
  • You can present product information about complex diagnostic services in a very detailed, accurate and comprehensible way
  • You have the ability to handle stress and rejection well, while maintaining motivation to continue pursuing new business
  • You have excellent interpersonal and business communication skills, which enable you to talk about the services on a level playing field with physicians, genetic counselors, researcher, purchase managers or other relevant decision makers
  • You have a strong drive and ambition
  • You consider yourself an entrepreneur and self-starter
  • You are fluent in one regional language and you are able to communicate with your superiors in English
