Established in 2016 through the acquisition of the Diabetes Care Unit of a German corporate player, our client is a global company entirely dedicated to improving the health and lives of people with diabetes. They are in charge of a great portfolio of blood glucose monitoring systems and they are the exclusive global distribution partner for an innovative continuous glucose monitoring system. And they are committed to adding more innovative and life-changing products to their portfolio.

In order to continuously improve the market position of our client, we are currently searching for a successful and motivated Head of CGM Germany (f/m/x):

You are responsible for:

  • You are responsible for the functional lead of a shared sales team and in charge of direct reports in Marketing and Medical Affairs
  • Delivering topline targets for sales and core growth in Germany
  • Directing the activities of the commercial team, ensuring active user base acquisition and retention, profit objectives and long-term market growth for the respective products and services
  • Directing the activities of a shared sales force, ensuring the execution of effective business development programs and field sales plans for new and existing products. Monitoring progress towards established objectives, communicating and ensuring achievement of sales targets
  • Managing the market access process and reimbursement for the respective product line
  • Implementing marketing strategies and developing medical communication strategies for short-and long-term growth
  • Initializing activities of Marketing- and Med Comms across Germany, ensuring development and execution of effective commercial plans and programs for new and existing products
  • Developing commercial strategies, plans, and Profit/Loss statements supporting the product's forecast in line with corporate growth and profit goals
  • Developing business plans, business cases and detailed product forecasts
  • Representing Germany in global discussions and reviews
  • Being the driver for future vision and transformation
  • Alignment with other functions, commercial teams and product groups like i.e. International Operations, Finance, Patient- and Industry Associations and several others
  • Analysing industry and market trends in close cooperation with other departments in order to identify impact on product line
  • You report to the Head of CGM Europe

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher; MBA beneficial
  • At least more than 5 years of sales experience in Life Science / Medical Devices Industry
  • Of advantage would be a 5 years CGM or Insulin Pump commercial experience
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience, being a supervisor of employees
  • Experience influencing diverse stakeholders
  • Expertise in managing brands and products. Strong financial, commercial, strategy, and marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of German diabetes landscape + established network
  • Outstanding leadership skills; ability to transform an organization
  • Ability to partner effectively across, down and upward in a matrix organization
  • Operational mindset. Willing and able to travel, meeting customers and employees in the field
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • German and English language fluency oral and writing required
  • Proven track record to drive organizations in a healthcare environment
  • Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks, also when under strong pressure
  • Ability to work with shared teams across different functions
